All the zombies go BOO

Yes I am the crazy Halloween lady and yes the neighbor kids can't wait to hit my house first.  I like to say that I go all out for the neighbors but we all know the truth.....I DO IT FOR ME!!!  So I finally got around to taking some outdoor pictures of my frontyard. So what if we only have 6 days till Halloween is here.   Every year I add something new to the spookilicious mix....it might be a severed head, a ghost or a extra strobe light.  It always amazes me see how my outdoor display has grown from just a few tombstones and cobwebs to zombies, a coffin and a fence to enclose all the spookiness.  Most of my horrifying goodies have been made (by me and help from dear old dad) and or repurposed.  I have to recommend one of my favorite sites for DIY'ers http://www.halloweenmonsterlist.info/   I look at it all year to see what new fun goodies there might be for me to try to make.

As much as I love the warmth of summer, I find myself looking forward to this time all year even if it means that snow is right around the corner.  October is such a wonderful changing month.....I know this because every year I put Halloween up in the heat (this year I even turned on the sprinklers to cool off),  I watch the mountains change from shades of  green to beautiful golds, oranges and rusts and by Halloween we have had our first big snow of the year.

Well Hopefully next year I will have more frightfully fun things to add.

Halloween is a coming

Spiders have taken over
It's that time again....the time when things go bump in the night and ghost and goblins roam the night. It's Halloween time and that makes Jayme a happy girl. I wait all year for this month to come. When else can adults behave silly and dress up for fun like back in the good old days of our youth. Speaking of which, both my costume and Miss Lucy's have been finalized. I'm pretty sure I will have more fun being dressed up then Miss Lucy will. I find myself roaming Halloween sights for fun, for insight and for ideas to add to my own haunted yard. This year I decided to bring some of spooky to the inside of my house as well. I decided to do a more elegant gothic black and white color scheme for the front room. I must say that I really love how it turned out. I have to say that it was quite easy to do. It's amazing what a girl can do with a can of black and white (well actually cream color) spray paint. I got so into it that I even painted the skirts of my vintage looking pumpkin girls white. Now not only did pumpkins become white and black, Halloween wreaths, spooky branches and vases did as well. Spiders found there way to flower arrangements, and crows came to roost. I have a feeling that as the years will come and go so will the additions to both the inside and the outside. Happy Halloween everyone I wish you all a spooky good time!!!

Super easy but oh so cute

Ohhhhhh spooky
